Ethanol 200 Proof - is 100% pure (non-denatured) food-grade ethanol. 

Food grade ethanol (alcohol), due to its lack of additives, is considered a safe culinary solvent and is used in manufacturing processes, cosmetic manufacturing, herbal tincture production, botanical oils and extracts, and food processing, where no harmful contaminants or additives are permitted to be present in the products produced.

Denatured Ethanol 200 Proof - is made up of 95% Food Grade, USP, ACS Grade Ethanol and 4.5% high purity n-Heptane which is an industry approved standard solvent. Blending it in this way makes it undrinkable but is as easy as pure ethanol to remove completely. It evaporates completely and gives clean residue testing results. 

 

Safety -Ethanol is highly flammable and should not be used near open flames. Ethanol inhalation can cause coughing or headaches. To discourage the drinking of pure ethanol from personal care or cleaning products, a “denaturant,” such as a bitter flavoring, is usually added. Denaturants make alcohol unsuitable for human consumption, but does not change the other properties of the substance.
